Every person that becomes our client has the right....... * to be pierced or tattooed in a hygienic, open environment by a clean conscientious atrist wearing a fresh pair of disposable latex gloves. * to a sober, friendly, calm and very knowledgeable artist, who will guide them through their experience with confidence, assurance and a lot of fun laughter and joke telling. * to the peace of mind which comes from knowing that their artist knows and practices the very highest standards of sterilization and hygiene. * to be pierced or tattooed with a brand new, completely sterilized needle, which is immediat- ely disposed of in a medical sharps container after use on the client alone. * to be touched only with freshly sterilized, appropriate implements, properly used and dis- posed of or resterilized in an autoclave prior to use on anyone else. * to know that ear piercing guns1 are NEVER appropriate and are often dangerous when used on any part of the body. * to be fitted only with jewelry which is appropriately sized, safe in material, design and construction and which best promotes healing and that gold plated, gold filled and sterling silver are never appropriate for any new or unhealed piercing. * to be fitted only with ink which is appropriate and bio-compatible with the human body for long lasting design and color. * to be fully informed about proper aftercare, and to have continuing access to their artist for consultation and assistance with all their piercing and tattoo related questions. 1 Ear piercings guns CANNOT BE STERILIZED IN AN AUTOCLAVE and are NOT sterile! Do not ever get pierced by one of these no matter where you are or what the sales person tells you. They only want your money! The spring mechanism in the guns causes microspray which is microscopic blood and bloodbourne pathogens to spray onto the gun and the jewelry. If a person before you had AIDS, hepititis or any other disease.....YOU NOW HAVE IT TOO!!! The person will always tell you "it's a brand new gun" or "it is a disposible gun" or "we sterilized it" so you will get the piercing from them. ALL OF THESE STATEMENTS ARE BLATENT LIES!!!! With this being said, if you want to possibly die from a disease because you are too cheap to have the piercing done professionally, it is your right!
