Frequently Asked Questions

Here at Diversity we are concerned with your health and safety over everything else. Hence the reason for this page. While this may not answer all of your questions, this page will give you a sound basis on what we are able to do at Diversity. If you have a question that is not answered here, please email me with your question and I will give you an answer the same day! Q. Do you pierce, tattoo or perform implants on people under 18? A. Yes, with parent/guardian permission. However be aware that your parent/guardian must have a pictured ID showing both of your last names to make sure they match. If your mother has remarried, we need a copy of her marriage license showing the name change. If you are under the guardianship of another person, we must have a copy of the COURT issued guardianship. If you have been imancipated by the court, we also need a copy of the imancipation document. The ORIGINAL documents mentioned above must be brought into Diversity so WE can make the copy. A copy that you bring to us will not be accepted! Q. Do you have to be 18 for other items sold in Diversity? A. Yes, except for incense and puzzles. Diversity also sells tobacco pipes and adult magazines. For these items you must be at least 18 years old. Anyone can buy the incense and puzzles. Also, you can buy new body jewelry if you are under 18. Q. I work during your hours. Can I make an appointment after you close? A. Absolutely! We are here for YOU, our valued customer! If you need an appointment after we close at 6:00 p.m. or on any Sunday or Holiday, just make an appointment by coming into the store or having a friend or family member do it for you. However, because people seem to have a problem keeping their appointments, we require a non-refundable depost to hold your appointment. This ensures that you don't waste our time and you keep your appointment. If you miss the appointment for any reason, your depsoit will not be refunded! Q. I have a child under 18, can he/she come into the store? A. Yes. While most of our services and products require that a person be at least 18 years old to purchase or receive, any- one can be in the store. However, we do limit them to the front half of the business as they are not allowed to view the adult magazines. If that is where you, the adult, want to be, the minor can sit on the couch or get some candy from the candy machines at the front of the for a quarter! Q. What forms of payment do you accept? A. We accept Cash, Money Orders, Visa, MasterCard or a Checking Debit Card with the Visa/MasterCard logo on it. We do not accept other forms of checking debit cards. WE DO NOT AND WILL NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL OR BUSINESS CHECKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Q. What is your business information: A. Name: Diversity Address: 37 East Main Street Price, UT 84501 Phone: 435-636-8656 Fax: 435-636-0102 Web page: http://www.diversityinutah.com Emails: Eddie for piercings and general store info: ehorvath@sisna.com General Store information or questions: diversity@emerytelcom.net Business time: 10.5 years! Business Hours: Noon to 6:00 p.m. Monday thru Saturday and on Sundays and holidays by appointment. Q. Do piercings, tattoos or implants hurt? A. Of course they do! But it is not as bad as you think! We always tell people that if it hurt as bad as they think it does, we would be out of business. Q. Can I minimize the pain? A. Yes. First of all be relaxed for the procedure and don't be rushed. Also, if you have "negative" friends, don't let them be around you saying things like "it's gonna hurt like hell & your gonna pass out!" Also, it is important that you eat a good meal 4 hours before the procedure and I recommend a Snickers Candy Bar and a Soda 30 minutes before you arrive to help raise your blood sugar. Q. Am I going to pass out or faint with a piercing, tattoo or an implant? A. I don't know! Every person is different. However, if you follow the advice in the question/answer above this one, you will probably be fine. If you do pass out, don't worry about it. This is what is called a vaso reaction. It is your body telling you something is wrong and you CANNOT control it. Q. What kind of tattoo work can you do? A. Nearly anything you want! We specialize in custom designs & can easily do black and gray and color work too. We can do a small piece the size of a dime or we can give you a full body suit if you want. Q. Can you cover up a tattoo? A. In most cases the answer is yes. However, depending on the size of your original tattoo there may be some limits. An example of this is we recently had a guy come in that got a horrible tattoo from a business down the street from us. It was his last name done on his back and instead of it being straight, it is horribly crooked. The letters are about 2" to 3" tall and slant from the top left shoulder to the bot- tom of his right shoulder. In this case we cannot fix it because of the shear size and we cannot make the letters bigger to cover that horrible mistake. Unfortunately the guy is stuck with a horrible tattoo! His only option besides keeping the piece of crap it to save a lot of money and have a full back piece done to cover it. His "cheap" tattoo from a business with a bad reputation will now cost thousands to make look nice! Q. Can you remove tattoos? A. NO! Only a licensed medical professional, specifically a Plastic Surgeon, can remove a tattoo. This procedure is done using the latest, state-of-the-art lazers to zap the ink into smaller piece which allows the body to cleanse and remove it. Q. Can you do Glow-In-The-Dark tattoos? A. NO! Glow-in-the-dark inks are NOT biocompatible with the human body. This ink, if put into the body can cause severe illness, allergic reactions, severe infection or even death. Q. What about my privacy and safety? A. Your privacy is protected by the same laws that govern your doctor, the hospital, attorneys, etc. Your paperwork is filed and not released to anyone without a Court Order. We will not even give that information to your own parents or other family members or friends. Your safety is also a concern to us. For all safety reasons and factors, the premises of Diversity are protected by a 24/7/365 alarm, real time video and audio security system. It covers the entire inside of Diversity and also reaches a full two block radius outside of Diversity on the streets and back parking lot. In case there is an emergency, fight or vandalism, this helps local law enforcement and courts with proper prosecution to the fullest extent of the law.
