Nepenthes rafflesiana

Pure or Hybrid: Pure Type: Lowland - Grows below 3000 feet above sea level. They experience hot days, warm nights and continuous high humidity! Origin: Bau, Sarawak Adult Pitcher: Between 6" and 12" tall. Lighting: Needs bright light, but not direct sun light. If kept in a greenhouse, it requires 50% shade cloth. Watering: Water from above and allow the excess to completely drain. Water daily in this method. Does not like to be kept in standing water! Comments: This is a beautiful plant but is quite variable. Colors can range between green splotched with red or purple to completely red, to cream colored. The leaves are just as variable in length from 2' to 5' long. Where I got it: Malesiana Tropicals
