Nepenthes hirsuta
|
Pure or Hybrid: Pure
Type: Lowland - Grows below 3000 feet above
sea level. They experience hot days,
warm nights and continuous high
humidity!
Origin: Sarawak Borneo
Adult Pitcher: Around 7" tall.
Lighting: Needs bright light, but not direct
sun light. If kept in a greenhouse,
it requires 50% shade cloth.
Watering: Water from above and allow the excess
to completely drain. Water daily in
this method. Does not like to be
kept in standing water!
Comments: This species got its name because of
the coarse hairs which cover the stem,
undersides of the leaf, and tendrils.
The pitchers are a dark green but in
some varieties can be spotted with
purple.
Where I got it: Malesiana Tropicals
A pic of my plant from Malasiana Tropicals coming soon.
