Nepenthes hamata

Pure or Hybrid: Pure Type: Highland - Grows between 3000 feet & 10,000 feet above sea level. They experience warm days, cool nights and continuous high humidity! Origin: Central Sulawesi Adult Pitcher: Near 10" to 12" tall. Lighting: Needs bright light, but not direct sun light. If kept in a greenhouse, it requires 50% shade cloth. Watering: Water from above and allow the excess to drain into a tray. Water like this when water is gone from the tray! Comments: This is probably the most "scary" looking of the Nepenthes species. It has a hairy upper lid and many fangs around the peristome which are as sharp as knives!!
