Nepenthes bongso

Pure or Hybrid: Pure Type: Highland - Grows between 3000 feet & 10,000 feet above sea level. They experience warm days, cool nights and continuous high humidity! Origin: West Sumatra Adult Pitcher: Near 10" tall. Lighting: Needs bright light, but not direct sun light. If kept in a greenhouse, it requires 50% shade cloth. Watering: Water from above and allow the excess to drain into a tray. Water like this when water is gone from the tray! Comments: Recent revisions of the genus have combined Nepenthes bongso with plants previously regarded as N. carunculata. The red or purple lower pitchers can be quite large and have a wide peristome reminiscent of N. veitchii.
