The Blue & Gold Macaw is a very lively and
sometimes very noisy parrot,  particularly
in early morning and late afternoon.  They
quickly  become accustomed  to their owner
and will make you laugh with their inquis-
itive  nature.  They are very hard chewers
and must be provided with a regular supply
of branches  to chew on.  They are a  very
hardy species and can  be kept  with other
large  macaws and  parrots outside  of the
breeding season in a very large aviary but
when breeding  season  comes around it  is
best to seperate  them from other species.
They often  enjoy bathing or being  misted
with a spray bottle.
